Greetings from the Emirates Uveitis and Retina (EUVRE) Update 2023

It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to a 2-day odyssey of education, research, and collegiality as we embark upon a pioneering collaboration with the Uveitis Society (India) (USI), which has great leaders in the field of ocular inflammation.

The EUVRE will co-host the 24th Annual Meeting of USI (USICON) on the 29th and 30th of September, 2023, which will be conducted as a physical meeting in the culturally rich capital city of Abu Dhabi, bringing together some of the best minds in Ophthalmology across the region and globally.

The USI has a rich history of conducting highly successful scientific congresses within and outside India.

Therefore, EUVRE and USICON 2023 promise to deliver a distinguished meeting to unravel the mysteries and update us on ocular inflammatory and retinal disorders.

In addition, the meeting aims to improve our understanding of ocular immunology and pathology.

In the 2023 edition, the USI will be accompanied by the Global Ocular Inflammation Workshops Society (GOIWS), which has spearheaded pathbreaking research in various uveitic diseases.

We look forward to having you on this journey of mutual learning and collaboration.

Welcome Remarks from the Uveitis Society of India - President

Dear friends,

It gives me great pleasure to invite you all to EUVRE USICON 2023 - the Annual meeting of the Uveitis Society of India organised in conjunction with the Emirates Society of Ophthalmology. This meeting is special because of the overseas location, in the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi, UAE, and our collaboration with the Emirates Society of Ophthalmology. I am also thankful to the Global Ocular Inflammation Workshops Society for accepting our invitation to participate in this meeting.

The 2-day scientific program has been designed to address the burning issues in uveitis and ocular Inflammation and will be shouldered by a host of eminent speakers.

I am confident that participation in this meeting will offer great opportunities to build newer friendships and future collaborations, which will go a long way in improving the quality of care and preventing blindness from ocular inflammatory disorders in our respective regions.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Abu Dhabi this September and making this meeting a grand success.

Welcome Remarks from the Organizing Secretary

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is our immense pleasure and honor to welcome you to the Emirates Uveitis and Retina (EUVRE) Update with the Annual Meeting of the Uveitis Society of India (USI) in culturally rich, serene, and picturesque city of Abu Dhabi. Since several decades, the USI has been engaged in educational and research activities within India and abroad with an aim of spreading awareness regarding ocular inflammatory and retinal disorders. In 2023, the USI has planned a unique physical annual conference outside India, with an aim to engage the international community and forge collaborations with physicians and researchers from the Gulf region.

The emirate of Abu Dhabi promises unique experiences to all the attendees with a meticulously planned scientific agenda supported by industry partners, along with many attractions that make it one of the world’s most livable cities. Abu Dhabi allures everyone with numerous historical treasures such as the Presidential Palace, calming sunsets in traditional dhow boats, fast and furious rides in the Ferrari World, dinners at the desert dunes, wild and sea life in their natural habitats, and gourmet eats in world famous restaurants, the list is endless.

The conference is designed to bring together international experts in the fields of uveitis and retina from the GCC and India, as well as from Europe and USA.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of ESO and USI for organizing this distinctive meeting. Above all, we are truly grateful to all of you who have chosen to come to Abu Dhabi for the EUVRE-USICON 2023. Marhaba!

Dear Friends,

We cordially invite you to the EUVRE - USICON 2023 - Emirates Uveitis Retina update and Uveitis Society of India Annual Conference, a first-of-its-kind collaboration between our societies. This will be held in the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on the 29th and 30th of September 2023. With the participation of distinguished national and international faculty, we guarantee you an academic feast.

We hope it paves the way for similar gatherings in future and assists us in unravelling the riddles of both old and new inflammatory ocular disorders.

This meeting, we hope, will not only advance our scientific understanding but also foster the growth of new friendships for both professional and social interactions.
